Today is the Autumn Sports Day in our school. All students and teachers gathered at the playground early in the morning. It was a beautiful day with clear blue sky and cool breeze.
There were many interesting sports events. Running, jumping, shot put and tug of war were all included. Students from different grades participated enthusiastically. The cheers and shouts from the audience added more excitement to the games.
I joined the 100-meter race and it was a tough competition. Although I didn't win, I felt proud of myself for trying my best. Moreover, I enjoyed watching other students' excellent performance in other sports events.
After the games, the winning teams and individuals were awarded. The school principal gave a speech and expressed his expectation for us to develop a good sportsmanship and teamwork spirit.
